Almost Famous
The Black Saddles
I paid my dues. Drums at seven. Bass at twelve. Guitar at seventeen
A lifetime in bands—punk, rock, metal, country.
From sweaty clubs to big stages.
From garage noise to records that hit the big screen.
I produced gangster rap that made it to the big screen.
Studied with the greats. Wrote with everyone
From Broadway to the Bluebird.
I was star-struck. Head down. Blinders on.
Running full speed toward
the sound in swirling in my head.
That sound became hard-rocking country with a West Coast twang.
In 2006,
I packed up LA and moved to Nashville
Because you have to be present to win.
A moto-madman trapper introduced me to Jessie “Keith” Whitley—
Son of country royalty Keith Whitley and Lorrie Morgan.
We saddled up with guitars, spread our wings,
and took flight across the airwaves
with our hit “So You Want To Be a Redneck.”
That band was The Black Saddles.
This logo is our brand. Our flag. Our Dream
We even recorded “Mother” by Pink Floyd with Jessie and Lorrie—
the version I produced is out there… if you know where to look.
"Cowboy Kryptonite" was another song from my six strings
We were almost famous. But we got bucked off.
Dreams are hard to ride for a full eight seconds.
Long story short—I’m no stranger to the rain. And I’ll leave it at that.
This isn’t just apparel.
It’s a piece of music-royalty history.
A badge for those who ride anyway.
The Black Saddles ride again.
Saddle up, spread your wings and ride your dreams
